Was a beautiful one. The weather, first off, would have brought me through to sunday with smiles, but I got to spend time with a great girlfriend. Her hubs was our of town so I stayed the weekend with her.
My rendezvous was as follows:
Fri morn/afternoon RFKC conference (a foster kids summer camp) where God dove into my heart and not only taught me different ways to love the kids, but different ways to love myself as well. With all the ugliness, scars, wounds, hurts, and mistakes.
Friday night wedding then the reception which was, let’s be real, a roll by, congratulate the bride/groom, hit up that dessert bar like whoah, then peace. (Shot out to the mini cheesecakes w/raspberry delectableness-on POINT!)
Headed out to l.a. w/ samantha and my sis lizzie. Why? My amazing bigsis did some pr for a fashion show. So great. Then girlytalk/tea time w/sam til 2am.
Saturday “morn” sleep in til 1230pm (don’t you judge me). Leisurely stroll in downtown laverne for some bagels+browsing. Back to sam’s for some girlymovie/chat time and much needed relaxation.
Sat night, movies to see “the king’s speech”. Git up on that movie. It is beautiful. And hilarious. And dramatic. And saucy. Well, ok, not saucy, but everything else.
Back to sam’s for dinner and eclipse watching.
Sunday, teaching my 4th grade lil rascals, hearing the beautiful melodydoo sing, giggling too much (ok wait there is no such thing.and well, the way my laugh resonates, it isn’t a giggle but more like an evil witch’s cackle) at a chili’s lunch w/amazing people. Loved on some beebies inthe nursery, and to top it off, an appreciation dinner for pnc (the afterschool tutoring/mentoring program for at risk kids in pomona).
I would have to sum up my busy yet leisurely weekend as:
How was YOURS!?! :)
